2024 NHL Draft Rankings (Draft-1 Edition)
No generational talents this time around, but the NHL's Class of '24 is filled with cornerstone two-way defensemen and undersized puck magicians at forward.
NASHVILLE (The Draft Analyst) — It seems like everybody’s in the same boat when it comes to replacing Connor Bedard, and the term “replacing” is used quite loosely here.
Bedard’s Regina Pats will need a new No. 1 center after he’s made the top pick at the 2023 draft. Good luck with that. Team Canada’s title defense at the world juniors? Go with the group effort this time around, because you’re not digging up a pivot who can score 23 points in seven games while saving your bacon in the medal round.
And what about the cream of the next draft class? Talk about a tough act to follow. Is it even worth asking if any of the kids earmarked for the top of the 2024 group can rightfully succeed Bedard and his layers of generational slickness in both hype and in substance?
