GATINEAU OLYMPIQUES (QMJHL): RW ALEXIS GENDRON (PHI 7th/2022) scored twice and added an assist, and RHD TRISTAN LUNEAU (ANA 2nd/2022) added a goal and three assists, as the Gatineau Olympiques won their 12th consecutive game after blitzing the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 7-3 on Friday night. Gendron (pictured), who scored five goals in an 8-4 clubbing of Cape Breton on Feb. 18, has tallied 9 goals in his last 4 games, and 18 have come in his last 15 outings. For the season, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound winger has 41 goals to rank fourth in the QMJHL. Luneau now has 3 goals and 8 assists during a five-game point streak to take over the QMJHL defense scoring lead with 63 points in 53 games (16 goals, 47 assists). C RILEY KIDNEY (MTL 2nd/2022) contributed a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to 16 games and give him 43 points in 17 contests since being traded to Gatineau from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. The win allowed Gatineau to keep pace with Sherbrooke, which leads the Western Conference by a point over the Olympiques.
